How do you take off the amount of products in the categorie?

In the top left there is the box that says categories. And under it it say for example: Baseball Bats-> (12) What I want to know is how do I get rid of the (12). Thats the amount of products in that catagorie right? Any help would be greatly apprecitaed. Thanks.

admin -> configuration -> my store -> Show Category Counts and set to false.

A slow read throught the FAQs and WIKI would also be of help with this and many other settings that you will be wanting to adjust or may not realize that you can adjust them as simply as the Category Counts ...
