while going through the Configuration checklist, I went to "My store," and went to Zone, but I have nothing in this spot and when I try to edit it their is nothing there either. What are the zones for Australia? Anybody have any ideas.

in the admin under the localization tab there are a couple of items one is the country codes both 2 letter and 3 letter.

No tried that their is nothing in the drop down menu. Maybe I need to download the Auspost module?
