From what I've been reading in various places, they're anticipating Google will quickly expand into the UK and Germany (Google's marketshare in both countries is significantly larger than in the U.S.).
just a quick question,
HOW do you get the customer information into your zen cart.
remember this is used for marketing, and such
how do you get the order information into the account so fine folks can view their account history.
Zen cart PCI compliant Hosting
I personally haven't used it "seller-side" yet (waiting on a Zen mod).
Google requires their checkout button to be located before a customer signs in.
Example: https://checkout.google.com/seller/c...t_buttons.html
The way I understand it, it would essentially be the same as being able to purchase without creating an account. The customer's purchase history is located in his/her Google Checkout Account (similar to PayPal's Transaction history) and the sales are shown in the Seller's GC Account.
Since I don't understand the dynamics of how the API works, I don't know if it sends something back to the ZC or not. I ASSUME it must do something like that because otherwise how would all the larger companies offering it keep up with their sales. I just don't see them logging into a Google Seller's account everyday.
I used the checkout "buyer'side" and it was awesome! It even gives the buyer the option of whether or not to show their email address to the seller.
Here is an excellent article by Scott Wingo (ChannelAdvisor) of why Google Checkout is going to be a good thing:

Personally, I want to be able to offer my customers this service. I think it will really make a difference in getting new sales and repeat customers.
As a BUYER who shops 95% of the time online, I love the concept.
Boggled,
Made my ears perk when you mentioned integrating the website for eBay purchases! I'd love to see that.
Have you studied the Pay Now Google Buttons? I'm wondering if that could be integrated into your invoice email to the customer for their purchases? I know I use a PP PayNow button now that takes them to login and prefills, wonder if the GPay PayNow buttons would work the same?
Can't wait to offer it with Zen too, as stated above, the more options the more possibilities of sales :)

Never say never, it's only a matter of time, energy and asking the right person the right question!
Has there been any movement on this module? *waiting on pins and needles*
