    Last version support price tag based on Google name space.

    I remind:
    You can rss:
    1. All categories;
    2. One category;
    3. Category and subcategories;
    4. New Products;
    5. Random New Products;
    6. Specials;
    7. Random Specials;
    8. Featured;
    9. Random Featured;
    10. Best Sellers;
    11. Random Best Sellers;
    12. Upcoming;
    13. Random Upcoming;
    14. All Products;
    For products feed (4-14) you may specify category.
    For all except "Random ..." you can specify count of items to display.

    Download and test.
    NB! This is developer version!

    The instruction and recommendation for use little bit later. RSS is the really greate and important tool of promotion!

    Load LAST version. You use previous version.

    No code change. Only parameters feed, cPath and limit.
    I say:
    The instruction and recommendation for use little bit later.
    Now there is no time for a spelling of the instruction.
    Once more:

    Is this mod for making an rss feed of your own site, or to display rss feeds (i.e. news from other sites, shopping specials on other sites, etc)?

    thank you,

    Apparently if I knew specifically what an Rss feed was, I wouldn't have asked the question. I personally have never used RSS, thus my ignorance.

    I wish to show articles, news, etc. being fed from other sites, therefore based on this definition I just found of an RSS feed, the answer to my question is no. Since it is feeds from other sites I want to display.

    "RSS works by having the website author maintain a list of notifications on their website in a standard way. This list of notifications is called an "RSS Feed".

    Default RSS2 feed contribution - YAHOO picks up IMAGE only?

    version $Id: rss2.php,v 1.5.7 15.12.2006 11:29 Andrew Berezin

    using RSS2.PHP with Zencart 1.3.5
    generated file--> http://www.networkhardware.com.au/networkhardware.xml
    ...for feed to YAHOO

    YAHOO indexed Image URL's instead of PRODUCT PAGE URL's ... eventhough XML file contains correct PAGE URL data?

    For example:
    instead of indexing URL
    http://www.networkhardware.com.au/ws...t-l-p-162.html
    YAHOO index'ed URL (image)
    www.networkhardware.com.au/ws-c2960-48tt-l-pi-162.html

    see also
    http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?ei...t=1&fr=fp&b=11

    (Yahoo Search result Number 13)

    Any ideas?

    thanks, [email protected]

    I don't know how YAHOO use RSS2 for indexing.
    Your networkhardware.xml file contains correct PAGE URL data:
    Code:
        <item>
          <title>WS C2960 48TT L</title>
          <link>http://www.networkhardware.com.au/ws-c2960-48tt-l-p-162.html?language=en</link>

    help question Re: RSS2 feed contribution support

    Okay I am mildly confused... the readme in the RSS2 on your site has absolutley nothing in it. I've read posts and get things like Add "GOOGLE" buit doesn't say where... I feel like I'll need to spend days searching through pages of posts....

    If I understand the RSS2 feed, its for sending RSS information to places like Google, or Yahoo, or what ever... correct?

    okay... given that.. what are the steps to configure? For Google. and optionally for Yahoo. I have installed it "as is"... here http://www.totalgarage.ca/products/rss2.php but when I run it through the validator site

    http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?u...cts%2Frss2.php

    it shows many errors... what is required to make it happy.

    Now assuming that the RSS feed is good.... what is needed to send it to Google Base? or Yahoo?

    Also what is the list of options that can be used with it (command line params).

    Would be nice if this was added to the Readme file, but atleast can we get it all in one post so as its easy to use... I know for some people its trivial... and perhaps it is...

    but humour me anyways.....

    thanks!
