LinkPoint_API and GoDaddy (for Zen Cart v1.5.1 and older)

THIS APPLIES ONLY TO ZEN CART v1.5.1 AND OLDER, and only when using the Linkpoint-API module.

FYI ... If you're using GoDaddy hosting and want to use First Data's Linkpoint API as your payment gateway, you will have to upgrade to one of GoDaddy's more expensive "Virtual Hosting" or "Dedicated Hosting" packages.

    Why?
LinkPoint needs to use cURL on port 1129.
On GoDaddy's "Shared Hosting" package, only ports 80, 8080, 443 are available via cURL.

If you upgrade to one of their Virtual/Dedicated packages, port 1129 is automatically available for you.

Or ... you could switch to another hosting company

I have VPS with Godaddy however I have issues connecting to Linkpoint.

Eventhough godaddy claims that the port 1129 is open I still receive an error "unable to connect to server"

I registered at a different shared host to test if my files are correct. No problems there.

still trying to figure things out.

There was no help either from tech support at Linkpoint

    Hello,
I am having problem setting payment gateway in my website.
    Please help me.
    Here is the details:
I am hosting my site in godaddy's 'Deluxe Hosting with CGI - b' plan. I boughy ssl from godaddy only.
    My payment gateway is linkpoint
    My site name is www.pepperspalace.com
I successfully installed linkpointyourpay_payment_module_1.3c.zip file which I downlaoded from downloads and made the setup from admin successfully.
The cURL is installed on my host. And also the port 1129 is open for bilateral communcation.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
This is the setting I did in Linkpoint's connect Setting:
Submission Form URL (text only): https://www.pepperspalace.com/index.php
    Confirmation URL (text only): https://www.pepperspalace.com/index.php
I checked URL is a CGI Script
    Failure Page (text only):
    ------------------------------------------------------------
But whenever I place an order it says 'We apologize we are unable to contact credit card company'

    What am I missing?
Please help me. This is very urgent and I am trying this for for the past 1 week couldnt fix it.
    Thanks in advance

Is there a particular reason you are using a "CGI" hosting plan?
Submission Form URL (text only): https://www.pepperspalace.com/index.php
    Confirmation URL (text only): https://www.pepperspalace.com/index.php
I checked URL is a CGI Script
    Failure Page (text only):
These settings aren't used by Zen Cart.

Did you download and install the PEM file from your LinkPoint account as directed in the readme?
