Easy Populate 1-2-5-6 (how to add a new field?)

I need to add a new field to my EP files.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to do this.

Basically, I sell fancy dress and clothing. Each suppliers sends me their EP files with products & attributes.

Each file has attributes like Small, Meduim, Large etc but the problem is a chinese Small is differnt to a UK small.

So what I am going to do (if I can) is give each size a Size Code. So instead of having to change all the sizes every time I get an updated feed from suppliers I can simply add a new field with a size code so that will show in the product info page. I already know how to add new fields to the the table, product info page, insert product page etc so I just need to know how to add to it using EP.

Putting it simply, can I have header v_products_sizecode in the EP file if i have that database field in my mySQL database. Presuming I would need to have it in zen_products_description?

I figured it out myself.

For anyone who is interested...

I added a new field to my database and new code to my files using the wisdom of crazy_cris here https://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57924

Using Easy Populate 1.2.5.6.

In ADMIN > CONFIGURATION > EASY POPULATE i added my new custom field (products_sizecode) which is the one I created in zen_products in phpmyadmin.

Then I added the field to my Easy Populate csv file as v_products_sizecode

And there you have it.

I will be happy to help anyone who is trying to do the same and is havin difficulty. Just reply to this tread. Im online all the time so will answer quickly as possible.

Thanks for posting what you worked out. I have been searching for instructions on how to add a field to Easy Populate.

I added the Auction Site Attributes module in order to get the UPC and ISBN fields, and planned to add those fields to the Easy Populate spreadsheet.

I read that 1.2.5.6.csv-2 would do the additions in Admin. However, I'm still trying to get EP 1.2.5.6.csv-2 to show the model number instead of a quotation mark and a square in the test download, so may not be able to use it.
