Upgrade Account Data from DB Patch Level: 1.2.7 to DB Patch Level: 1.3.0.2

I built a new Zen Cart store with as fresh install of 1.3.0.2

I want to move my user account info from 1.2.7 to 1.3.0.2

I need my current account holders to be able to login with their passwords and have their address information.

I do not need to keep the order history for my users as I have restructured the catalog in the new store and all my products have new product IDs ( I have notified the customers that their rorder histories will not be available when the new store comes online).

I want to know if I can just copy the following tables from 1.2.7 over to 1.3.0.2 without breaking the store:

customers
customers_info
address_book
address_book_format

Is this possible or would I break my new store if I did copy these tables from 1.2.7 to 1.3.0.2?

If you must do a selective table-by-table copy of data, this link should help you identify which tables to work with.

HOWEVER.... YOU MUST FIRST upgrade your 1.2.7 database to v1.3.x (latest) structure by running zc_install (using the 1.3.x version of zc_install files) and choose Database Upgrade.

THEN, after you've upgraded the database structure, THEN you can selectively export/import the tables appropriate for the data you wish to move.

So would this be the right sequence:

1. back up

2. copy zc_install folder from 1.3.0.2 installation over to 1.2.7

3. set file permissions

4. take 1.2.7 down for maintenance

5. Run Database upgrade

6. Copy tables:
address_book
customers
customers_info
group_pricing

to 1.3.0.2 database

A - configure everything on your 1.3 site as desired

B - bring customer data forward
1. back up
2. copy zc_install folder from 1.3.0.2 installation over to 1.2.7
3. Don't need to set file permissions for database-upgrade-only
4. take 1.2.7 down for maintenance
5. Run Database upgrade on 1.2.7
6. Copy tables from 1.2.7 to 1.3.x via export/import

C - finish the process of making 1.3 live
