Default Cool music module with Zen Cart, BUT!

Hi - I have been trying to decide which e-commerce software to use for my MP3 download site. Os-commerce does not have a tailored mp3 module like the one in zen cart. So i am thinking using Zen cart, but although it has this extra organisation for my MP3's there does'nt seem to be anyway to play the mp3 when viewing the product before you purchase it. Can you recomend a solution or any other e-commerce software that will specifically let me sell mp3's and let you play them before you commit it to your shopping basket. Hope you can help me on this one as i have been looking online for ages.

Have a cool day - Peace Tony

We have showcase demo site that uses http://www.wimpyplayer.com
You can view by visiting http://www.mistily.com/zendemo/index.php
For security reasons, you need to join, then login as member, for mp3 player to show in zencart sidebox..possible to offer mp3 file/s for purchase, by adding to zip file/s for download via zencart.. obviously our showcase demo site does not have mp3 purchase/download option installed.

Hi - that looks like it will work pretty cool little player...got this info if anybody else has same prob-

Using the built in ecommerce features using WIMPY MP3 PLAYER-----
Wimpy MP3 Player includes the ability to link to a shopping cart system directly through the player.

If the "ecommerce" option is set using the Customizer tool, a small shopping cart icon will appear to the right of each item in the playlist When the user clicks on the icon, they will be directed to the URL defined in the comments field.

Wimpy uses information contained in the "comments" field as a hyperlink on both the shopping cart icon and the "cover art" graphic display area.

NOTE: If the skin uses a cover art display area, the cover art display area will always be a hyperlink if there is a URL found in the comments field for the current track that is playing.

we've done it a little differently,

    http://www.buysoul.com/store/index.p...index&cPath=72

We decided that using the quicktime player (or user's default player) was not what we wanted, so we use an embeded player (wimpy) to allow users to listen to the sample tracks.

Can someone make a walk through on how to incorporate Wimpy on you Zen Cart. I am a little lost on where to put the html to make it appear next to the selection. And Wimpy support is a little on the weak side on implementing.

    Thanks,
    Buz

    Hi ginabit,

It looks like you haven't visited in a bit but, the way that you added on the wimpy player is awesome. Would you be so kind as to share your tricks?

Any other zenner have any ideas for that matter?

    Much appreciated,
    Jamey
