I tried to change the color of my hovers from blue to green, but when i refreshed, I saw that the template style was somehow altered and now text only. Can someone help this dumb blonde??

Sorry, temp site is http://staging.orthodoxgifts.com
Apparently I accidentally erased the override stylesheet. It's back up, but now i have another problem: my displayed products are staggered, not equidistant. how do i fix this? thanks
If you don't have a copy of FireFox with the Web Developer and HTML Validator extensions, you need to get them if you plan on making changes to the CSS.
<soapbox>
First, IMHO, you should be using the template_default as a basis for any changes to the look of ZenCart. The Classic template and it's two stylesheets will soon be unsupported. Taking the time now to switch to a custom template will save you many headaches in the future.
</soapbox>
That said, with FireFox and the two extensions, you can edit the CSS (there are two for the Classic) and see the results as you work with it. Using the Validator by TIDY would show you the eight CSS errors and 138 HTML warnings that are currently on your main page.
Before you panic, many of the 138 errors are that HTML code like <BR> <img,,,,> do not have the open and close like <p>text here</p>. Unless you end the "singles" with " />" the validator will give you a warning. Still you have some hanging td, tr, and an invalid "valign="center" in one area.
Most of the errors are minor in scope but can cause major changes in how the site appears.

I've been using Firefox for years and added the css and html extensions a few months ago, but i still can't find the table problem of the staggered alignment.
I am using a custom template, built from an algozone template (http://www.algozone.com/shop/zencart...7tm-p-277.html) so i think it's something i did with the configuration, but i just cant see what it is.
i have very limited coding experience, was just kinda assigned this task by virtue of the fact that i was here at the time, not based on any actual knowledge or experience with php and/or zencart. gotta say, though, this forum is a LIFE SAVER!!
in the meantime, i will work on those 137 other items.... :)
Yeah, I keep looking for wrappers and don't find them. The admin portion has settings for column width but I'm not sure they will even work with this template
Keep us posted
