Extra / Special Carriage

Hi I am currently using Per Item shipping on my site.

A handling fee of 0.95 and then 1.00 per each item.

I will soon be selling items that require extra carriage cost as they are either delicate and require insurance or large / bulky and will cost more.

I would like to have a way of setting a specific extra price for each of those items. I have tried using attributes, but the best I got was a check box that the user could uncheck, is there another way ?

You could use a Radiobutton instead, if this is a charge with no choice, and set it to the default ...

Otherwise, you would need something to distinguish the fragile from non-fragile in the products table so that they can be counted and an additional charge applied in the item.php shipping module ...

When adding the Attribute ... select which Attribute is the default ...

Default Attribute
to be Marked Selected:

Or, you can click the 3rd icon so it turns Orange to indicate it is the Default attribute in the list of Option Values ...
