Kinda Confused

OK Here we go -

I am trying to implement the "don't show the sideboxes" part of Zen as described in tpl_header.php and I see this in the comments :

For customizing, this file can be copied to /templates/your_template_dir/pagename

Now my question is this, the template that I am working on should turn off layout boxes on the index page only - therefore I am wondering is the over ride file I want to use going to be : /templates/your_template_dir/index ???

I understand the use on other pages, piece of cake, but the index page ??

The nice thing about overrides- if you screw it up you can always delete the override file and start again :)

Oh but this is interesting when using this...

Excuse the mess but look at this please :

Worked like a charm- no layout boxes on the left just like I want it....

But click on a category from the top and you still get no sideboxes...

Click on a product, then you get sideboxes.

Did I do something wrong ?

Nope- didn't do anything wrong, the categories page is controlled by index.

So then is there any way to turn them back on for the category pages ?

Thankfully I see how it works - now to get it the way this extremely picky client wants them :)
