Rounding up and rounding down how to stop this?

I have used Zen cart before but with older versions and never had this issue before - I have looked everywhere but cant find a fix for it - lets say for example I want to price an item at $8.99 it rounds it up to $9.00 - anything from $8.50 and up rounds up to $9.00 and anything $8.01 to $8.49 rounds down to $8.00 can anyone shed any light for me as to why this is happening? My store is set to run with AUD and I have the value set to $1.000000000 in the currency area if this helps.

I have a product of .64p (gp £ ) and I am applying a discount of 30% with 2 decimal points in currencies this gives a result of .45p by rounding up

When I set 3 decimal places this gives me the correct value of .448p but this now shows pounds value at for instance £44.800

Can I set the calculation for 3 decimal places and only show 2 ? such as £44.80

I have currencies set as follows

Title: GB Pound
Code: GBP

Symbol Left: £
Symbol Right:

Decimal Point: .
Thousands Point: ,
Decimal Places: 3

I didn't see this thread before postin gin the other one. So i am using MSRp mod and Cost margin mode, my currency setting are :

Title: US Dollar
Code: USD

Symbol Left: $
Symbol Right:

Decimal Point: .
Thousands Point: ,
Decimal Places: 2

Value: 1.00000000

Example Output:
$30.00 = $30.00

What's happen is when i enter a the mark up % i may get something like $19.9963, and the is shows as $20.00 when previewed or listed, what i would like it to show id jut $19.99
