    Default Download Link not sent

I am trying to set up a shop that enables a client to download a zip file and I hope that someone can help me. I think I set it up ok but I am not sure because the email confirmation that is sent to the client does not contain the link to the zip file to be downloaded. Is there something that I missed while setting up the attributes? Or is there something further that needs to be done in order to get the link to be sent to the client?

The test install that I have is at:
    http://shop.sitewarriors.com/

It only has one product and that is the zip file contain the hi res of the image.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

If your product is setup correctly and defined as a download then at the bottom of the page you enter the file name of the downloadable file then there is no need to send the link via email.

After a customer pays and it is verified they should be returned to your cart where they can now download the file according to the limits you have set in your admin.

Idea or Suggestion Re: Download Link not sent

    Thanks Kobra,

I appreciate your help - The problem was that I had the price set to $10 instead of to $0. Once I changed the price everthing fell into place. This stuff can be confusing especially to a new zenner. Thanks again for the help!

i am just wondering if your customer download the file from your website
(i guess the price per download is not expensive, right?
let's say $1 in this case)
you pay a transaction each time?
(i am using paypal, each transaction is about USD 30 cents
do you think that's kinda expensive?)
do you do it this way?

(i wand to allow ppl to dl files from my website
i am selling nail supplies online
i want to allow ppl to dl images showing nail techniques, step by step
or some kinda nail technique video
however, i do not want to charge a high price
but the transaction fee is a bit high)

If the download price is too much for paypal I would suggest switching to authorize.net. That is what I am suggesting to my customers. They charge $150 for the initial setup, $20 a month and $.10 per transaction plus I think they charge a nominal percent of transaction (1%?). So if you were to include bandwidth ($.01 per trans.) plus the fee ( $.10) for each transaction plus an average for the monthly fee (i.e. It costs $20 / month and if you have an average of 200 customers per month. If you have less cutomers you charge more. If you have more customers you charge less. Add $.20 per transaction for your authorize.net service) You end at only $.31 per transaction and if you add the additional cost of $.21 per transaction to help pay off your set-up fee of $150 you end up at $.51 per transaction. If you charge say $.50 per download it will cover your cost plus after 8 months or so you can pocket the $.20 you charged to pay the setup fee as profit. The percentage of 1% really does not matter to much in this case because the price is so low, $.50.

    I hope this helped.

    nailsquare,

If this is just information, it can be a free download. you do not have to have them pay to download and be charged a transaction fee from any provider.
