    Default No Admin page

    Hello All!,

    I've installed ZenCart with the 1-click install at DreamHost, so I'm not sure if the server is Windows or not. My problem is that I cannot log into the Admin area, indeed, whenever I go to admin/index.php or just /admin I get the error message: 'cannot find server'. I can get the /docs page, just not /admin.

    I have done the following things:

    1) renamed the /admin/.htaccess file to htaccess_bak
    2) cleared my browser cache and call cookies
    3) Checked browser has allowed to accept cookies
    4) Checked no added / in config files
    5) I have uninstalled and deleted the software and database and gone through the process again to just get the same problem

    This is where it is installed: http://www.playtexts.com/

    Sorry if there is something obvious I have missed. Hope someone can help!

    Thankyou! Christy

    So, it is Dreamhost? or the 1-click install of ZenCart @ Dreamhost? or something else?

    This is becoming to be a really known common issue. Use the forum searh engine for dreamhost. You should find an official topic with detailed instruction on how to resolve the issues with dreamhost.

    It's not really a DreamHost issue... unless their installer is making assumptions.

    Your problem is that you've selected SSL configuration but don't have an SSL certificate.
    (you'll see the same problem if you click Log In in the store area)

    To turn it off, go to your /includes/configure.php file and set this to false:
    PHP Code:
    define('ENABLE_SSL''true');
    Same with /admin/includes/configure.php:
    PHP Code:
    define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG','true');
    define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN''true');

    It works! Thankyou Doc!

    It is part of the install instructions to enable SSl:

    Enable SSL and Enable SSL in Admin Area:
    Set these to YES only if you already have [your site]
    configured and working!

    I read that as enable SSL. Perhaps this is where the confusion is with others like me installing with the 1-click install. Perhaps they should reword for those of us that aren't sure if it is already configured or not.

    Anyway, thankyou!

    Hi there, I have the same problem, but I don't know how to apply the above codes.

    Where and how can I do it?

    Please!

    WOW I had SAME problem!!!
    Brand new install on Windows server - had a SHared SSL so I said YES to those questions---
    changing the SSL codes to FALSE worked fine -- now have access to ADMIN PANEL on fresh install
    NOT a Dreamhost issue

    thanks!
