    Default Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password

    Hi,
    I have got most of my shop working. But when I create a new customer it sends me the email but when I try to log on to the shop. It gives the following
    Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password.
    When you check in the admin page the user is there and active etc
    I notice there was a entry for this problem and the solution was to reinstall Zen Cart. I hope someone can indicate what is wrong without a reinstall please ??

    Incorrect information Sorry,
    when you logon as the user the screen just loops to
    Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?
    Type a incorrect password or username and you get the

    Error: Sorry, there is no match for that email address and/or password

    Which is correct
    When you input the correct email and password
    we are back to the loop

    Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?

    Might be a session handling problem.

    Which version of Zen-Cart are you using ?

    Would it be possible to post your URL - pointing to your techsupp.php file ? (Can be found in your zc_install folder from the package you recently downloaded - simply upload it under your root folder).

    Additional info:

    Make sure that you do not attempt to login with one of your admin account - from the store-front, since it will not work. Only customers account will work when authenticating through the store-front.

    I am getting this error after upgrading 1.2.7 to 1.3.5

    Customers are all there, but I keep getting the no match error when I try to login with a customer account.

    Did anyone find a fix for this?

    We have not duplicated this error ...

    Check that both of your:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

    Are both pointing to the correct database ...

    Also, try creating a new account ... does that work?

    Yup, they are both pointing to the correct database.

    I created a new account and was able to login, after account creation. I logged out and was able to login again with the new account. Tried again with the old customer details and was still unable to login with that one.

    Any chance you are using the wrong email address or password for that account you cannot get in with?

    ROFL! OMG I am sooo embarrased! Yes, that is what I did. I thought I had changed that password, but it appears I hadn't! It was still the old password, not the one I thought I had changed it to! Must have been in one of my testing sessions I did with an old test version! DOH!
