Default Return Links to your web site???

    Hi,

How can I make return links to my web site on each of the Zen Cart pages? If I have an image can I put it on the Banner Box and have it link back to my site? How can I do that if I have an image that says to click here to return to main site?

    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Dave

There are lots of ways to link to your base site. Using a banner is one. The banner control can be found in the admin manager. Admin>Tools>Banner Manager. I used the header file named tpl_header.php. With some html modifications to that file I added a link.

Note: moving in and out of your Zen Cart site can have consequences of lost shopping carts if sessions expire (24 minutes) and customer was not logged in while shopping to recover it should their session time out ...

A link, return or otherwise is a link to a url...

So the url attached to whatever text and/or image that you want to link to would look like this for your home page:
    Code:
http://www.your_url.com/ or if it is a sub directory
http://www.your_url.com/"Zen"/ or the folder name that you have it installed in
For a product or other page:
    Code:
    http://your_url.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1
All of these url's can be determined by loading the page that you want and copying the url in the address bar.

NOTE: Avoid linking to any page that has a session ID as part of the address; i.e. such aas one that might be displayed when you are logged in and in your cart. To avoid this, navigate as a guest only for these addresses.

    Default Still lost

If I enter the www address to get back to the site it shows as the text without being an active link. If I upload a Banner I get lost on the Banner Manager as I do not know what to enter to only upload the image and have it link back to the main site.

Can you guys elaborate as I am just learning?

    Thanks,
    Dave

A good point above is we may loose a sale my moving the customer out of the store. With that said,

Try using html for you link. Example:
    <a href="..\">Your Home Link</a>
