Duplicate Search Results

When I added the same exact product to 2 or 3 different categories and then I used the search feature, the result of that search displayed the same exact product two or three times (or as many categories as I have that product in). My question is, if put the same product into 2 seperate categories, how do I get the search result for that product to only display the product once, instead of the displaying the same product more than once from each of the different categories?

How did you make the additional Products?

If you use the Copy as Duplicate then you get Physical Products ...

If you use the Copy as Linked then you have 1 Product with "links" to the other Categories ...

If you used Linked and see duplicates, you most likely have an error in your code ...

Wow, I had no idea those were even options. Where would I go to find these settings, as i am not sure of there location? Sorry about the late response.

When you hit the C for Copy the Product, the choices are right there ...

Copy Method:
Link product
Duplicate product

Other choices will also appear based on things like if the Product has Attributes ...
