Paypal 2.0 for zen cart

ok you are going to have to forgive me. I am new to all this and consider myself lucky just to have gotten as far as i have with the cart.

I had no clue what verisign or payflowpro was and how it worked or if it worked with the zen cart.

what am i hoping the paypal version of this will do is put all my payments, normal paypal and this payflow, on the same account so i can easily see what has been paid for/shipped and what hasn't without flipping back and forth between the cart and the different shipping programs . id also really like to not have to cut and paste every address in for shipping. seems like it will cost me about the same as or less as using these shipping programs and a merchant account yet easier .

If i am going down the wrong path here please tell me, you certainly know a ton more about this than I do : )

We won't know whether PayPal will display information the way you are hoping or not ... until you get to the point of receiving payments via that method.

Unless of course PayPal tech support will give you a straight answer on the issue.

Have you checked out the new Super Orders mod ? It does make order-processing much easier ;)

I will suck it up and deal with paypal tomorrow,
I will findout if payments are shown the same as transfers,
I will findout if the payflow modules will still be compatible

well they are having a terrible time setting this up for me . my account keeps rejecting parts of what they are doing . it has something to do with the way that the original guy had me set it up and my SS#. on the bright side they call me with updates almost every day and let me know whats going on so i never had to call them : )

sure would be slick if it works for me someday , time will tell .

*EDIT* I just logged in and it looks like my account is now active and set up correctly. now to call them and get the API thing installed .

im not sure what module to use, is there one in the downloads section of zen cart that i overlooked ?

she told me she would hook me up with someone who will walk me threw installing this on my website with a Payflow Pro Software Development Kit .

ya she told me shes not familiar with zen cart but assured be she would find someone that was .... like most large companies that have a gazillion employes i think the key is to find someone that knows what they are doing or at least find someone who knows how to find someone else that does. if they sound like an idiot from the first second ask them for someone higher up the customer service chain or hang up immediately and try again. id call today but i have some tenants moving out and i need to get over there and work on it.

paypal pro and payflow are 2 totally seperate things,

payflow is the verisign merchant service that paypal bought they just changed the name and the setup is a coupla hunderd bux
