Using one Option Name/Value dataset for two other Option Names

We sell custom graphics and allow the client to select print size, inner and outer mat colors, and frame style/color.

There are 36 basic mat colors to pick from. They are the same for both the inner and the outer mat. Try as I might, I can't seem to determine a way to create one master Option Name of Mat Color and assign the 36 values; THEN copy that to the Option Names Inner Mat and Outer Mat. I've tried several variations on the Option Values page with no success.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks!

    Make the two Option Names:

    Color 1
    Color 2

Add the Option Values to Option Name 1 for the 36 colors

Go to the Option Names Manager ...

On the bottom of the list of functions is:
Copy ALL Option Values to another Option Name
All Option Values will be copied from one Option Name to another Option Name
Select Color 1 in the first dropdown and Color 2 in the second dropdown

NOTE: Be sure to backup before running this ...

YES! That works! I had originally thought to do exactly that, but did not see the "Copy All..." selection on the Option Values screen. Your information caused me to look at more than just that page; and, of course, I found it--at the bottom of the Option Names screen.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

You are most welcome and thanks for the update that this worked for you ...

There are a number of copy manipulations for the Option Names and Option Values ... always be sure to make a good backup before using them then test well afterwards to assure that you applied them correctly ...
