Payment modules launch an external page only after the Checkout Confirmation page... when the customer clicks on the Confirm button.
After the external payment system approves the purchase, it must send feedback and the customer back to the checkout_process page in order to complete the order within Zen Cart.

Yes I did ... obviously this is wrong!
How do I do it right? Should I buy a module like this one http://www.zencart-store.com/index.p...products_id=13 ???
I suppose that's one option. Just be sure you're getting one that's compatible with your version of Zen Cart.
Alternatively you could write your own. Sorry, documentation on that process is sparse. Examples of code are in /includes/modules/payment in the Zen Cart ZIP file
