Quantity Discounts will work fine for non-VAT liable, non-tax-included shops in 1.3.9. I will release another version after 1.3.9 is finalized which is compliant with the new style of tax handling for tax-included shops in 1.3.9.

Hello:
I'm running ZenCart 1.3.9c and Quantity Discount 1.10. Here's my configuration:
Discount Units: currency per item
Discount Basis: Total By Category
Counting Method: items
Discount Level 1: 1
Discount Amount 1: 0
Discount Level 2: 6
Discount Amount 2:.51
Discount Level 3: 21
Discount Amount 3: .70
Discount Level 4: 36
Discount Amount 4: .83
Discount Level 5: 51
Discount Amount 5: .92
I have a category in which all items have the same price ($6.44), and according to the amount of items you order, it should apply the corresponding discount. But, at checkout, I noticed that it applies the discount per individual item count, and not by total items of that category. For example, if I order 17 items of product A and 52 items of product B @ $6.44 each, your module (with my current configuration) is applying the discount to each individual group ($6.44 - $.51 per item of product A and $6.44 - $.92 per item of product B). Is there a way for the module to count all items of the same category and apply the discount then (69 items @ $6.44 - $.92 per item)?
Here's what I get at checkout with the following example:
Subtotal: $444.36
Discount: -56.51 -- if you do the math, the discount should be $63.48 (69 items @ 5.52 each = $380.88 and 444.36 - 380.88 = 63.48 discount)
How can I change the configuration to apply the discount to all items in the same category?
Thanks!!
There are two ways you might have gone wrong:
a) "by category" means "by parent category" - so if A and B have different parents but the same grandparent category, they are not counted as the same category.
b) category uses master_category_id, which may not be what you think it is. I wrote a description of how to debug these problems:

Hi Scott,
Any update when this will be updated for 1.3.9 for us VAT-enabled stores?
Thanks.
Didn't I do that already? Check the downloads area and remember you reed to remove and reinstall to see the new options.

The Zen-cart downloads area and your website are showing version 1.11, which was uploaded to the ZC site on 3rd April, and says that it's compatible with 1.3.8.
Zen-cart 1.3.9a announced on 19th April (to the best of my knowledge), although test versions were presumably out there before that because on the 14th April you confirmed that QD and BT were working:

OK, I see. There are no 1.3.9 changes to Quantity Discounts. The last change (1.11) was to add the "VAT" setting which some people liked better than other tax settings.

I have one question about Quantity Discount.
Can anyone tell me if it works with Edit Orders and Sales report?
I have found that if i have have 5% discount on the sub-total and then you use Edit orders what happens is that the discount is not recalculated.
Also it seems like the discount does not show up correctly on Sales report. Am i the only one who has this problem?
