Exporting Customer Database and accessing passwords

We are moving to a new storefront and want to take our customer database with us. We have a team who is creating a table with their information but the passwords are encrypted. How can we get the information to unencrypt these passwords so we can enter them into the new system to be encrypted there.

They are passwords ... they do not unencrypt so that you can re-encrypt or read them etc. ... they are a secret ...

    Actually no ...

If you can get all the information in properly to the customers, customers_info and address_book tables ...

They could just use the forgotten password link to get a new password issued to them ...

Or, you could generate valid passwords, update the customers table and email them to the customer's assuming you have 100% correct email addresses ...

100% correct e-mail addresses... but still a better idea than mine. Thank you.

"moving to another storefront" ... do you mean going from Zen Cart to Zen Cart ?

We are moving to another Shopping cart that will interact with DHL's Webship function and live shipping rates as well as offers inventory tracking by sku (shirt sizes) and some other things. Zencart has been great but we do a lot of business and need to upgrade. I do recommend Zencart to other people all the time. No hard feelings.
