New Products control

How would you make a product not show up as new when you add it? What determines whether a product is new or not? I've even tried changing the date added in the database.

New Products are determined by the products_date_added field ...

You can control the time span of the New Products in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...

New Product Listing - Limited to ...
Limit the New Product Listing to
0= All Products
1= Current Month
7= 7 Days
14= 14 Days
30= 30 Days
60= 60 Days
90= 90 Days
120= 120 Days

Manually, you can edit the field in the products table if you have some products that you have added that while just added ... they are really not "New Products"
