Urgent: Error occurred after installing SEO URL

Hi all,

I am using zencart 1.2.7. I just installed the Ultimate SEO URL using the instructions provided and the following error has occurred on all the links I clicked on.

The requested URL /privacy.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What did I do wrong? The only step I wasn't sure of is the editing of the zencart catalog folder .htaccess file. Is this file in includes? What I did was to add the content at the end of the file and change RewriteBase /shop/ to RewriteBase /
Please help.

Also in the admin Configuration--> SEO URLs, I have the following error:

Warning: call_user_func(zen_reset_cache_data_seo_urls): First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /home/dealbyet/public_html/cart/admin/includes/functions/general.php

How do I fix this? Thanks in advance.

You have installed a 1.3.0 mod on a 1.2.7 cart - not gonna work - you should consider upgrading your cart.

Thanks for your speedy response. I downloaded the version for 1.2.x. I don't want to upgrade because otherwise I will end up losing my template. Should I try undoing everything and start from scratch again? Do you have any suggestion?

I would undo everything and retry. It would take less time than comparing files to figure our what is different between the two versions.

Thanks for your reply. I will do that. Is the instructions on the following page compatible for both zencart 1.2.x and 1.3? or is it only for 1.3?

I have recently moved my zencart folder to the root directory but I haven't deleted the old zencart folder as I was worried I might stuff things up. Do you think this is giving me problems?

I agree uninstall and try again.

If it is stated on the site that it is compatible then it more than likely is - though that "Admin Cache" reset isn't available in admin on zen 1.2.7 - never was available in the admin area until 1.3.0 unless I have missed something all these 2 years I have been working with carts.

I can tell you that I have personally had dealings with Dreamscape - he is a great coder and very supportive - so maybe drop him a line if you continue to have issues ;)

Hi all,

I solved my problem. Since my zencart is in the root directory. The .htaccess file to be edited should be the one in "public_html" not in "includes" folder. So far everything looks great. Yay!
