    1.3.0.2 CHMOD Warning

I have just installed my store from scratch. I'm getting the following warning...

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/fischer/public_html/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file (read-only, CHMOD 644 or 444 are typical).

When I look at the file it is set to 644. I've changed it, but no luck.

Use your control p anel to chmod the permissions,
some hosts are setup to not allow this low of a permission through ftp

I had a problem same as this.

Tried setting the permissions via FTP and it appeared to set them although it didn't make a difference.

    Doing it via cPanel works..

Not sure how it does.. but it does :]

    Added to the wiki:

Quite often setting permissions on a file to read only via FTP will not work. Even if the permission looks like it was set to read only, it really may not have been. You must verify the correct setting by entering the store and seeing if there is a warning message on the top of the screen. "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file:..." In this case you will need to use the "File Manager" supplied with your webhosting account.
