Question: I just installed the profit share report, and it seems to be working fine.

I wanted to know if anyone knows if the profit share report takes into account changes in sales price? For example, if I have a product set to $10.00, and I discount it to $5.00 for one week, and raise it back to $10.00 thereafter, will the profit report base the final profit figure off the fluctuation in sale prices.

In other words, I sell 10 units at $10.00, sell 10 units at the discounted price, and another 10 units at $10.00 thereafter. The total gross sales would be $250 dollars. Let's say my cost per unit is $1.00, therefore, my total profit would be $225.

So, the question remains, would this come out correctly in the zencart module, or would the profit report not recognize the units sold at the discounted $5 once I raised the price up to $10.00, backdating those units sold to the current price?

I hope that is not too confusing and makes sense.

I am sure I am not the only one asking myself how I can uninstall this mod (especially the added SQL patch).
I'm having a conflict with my bookkeeping software and need to remove it asap.

I was thinking of installing this mod i hopes of having a 'cost' field.

The readme.txt in the mod says: "... upload everything in the directory structure it is in. Please note that this WILL overwrite some of your files. ..."

Does anyone have a quick list of those files?
Then I can rename the originals before installing.

Again, I'm just trying to have a "cost" field added for my items.
I saw a previous forum post somewhere indicating this mod provides all the required changes to make this happen.

Looking at this thread, I really need a backup to "rollback".

Looking at this thread, I really need a backup to "rollback".

Open the zip file provided when you download this mod, open in winzip or other, all the fiiles that are in the list are the ones to copy from your existing install. If they don't apprear in your site then they are new files :) just a little long winded maybe, then just make a note when you upload the files, to your server or hosting area, of the files that are overwritten.

i suggest the following as my solution everytime i do a mod i always carry out he steps below.

As a sure fire way of going back copy the route directory of your site to a new fiolder called "backup"and then if you need to you can restore the whole site from that fiolder :)

Make sure you also take a backup of the database prior to running the .sql file

I'm still amazed that zencart core doesn't have a cost field...

Is there an actual install.txt file for this? I was using the wholesale pricing add-on which I lost by installing this. If I had the install file, I could easily integrate the files if I knew what to look for.

I am used to installing php mods on a phpbb forum where there are install files that state..

Look For...
After Add...
Code to add

etc.

I would really like to be able to use the combination of these two add-ons since they both would be valuable to have in a wholesale/retail shop.

BTW - I really like the features of this add-on.

Anyone got the solution to this?
im using dual prices for wholesale as well. Cant see the price after installed this mod.

I think this mod would be awesome if it worked together with numinix product fields mod and When entering the cost price - already have the retail price and sale price for some reason it doesnt calculate on its own profit margin. Ultimately I would like to have this mod work with EZ populate, this way via excel spread sheet it can be easier to enter cost prices
