Home, not offering Login

Hi

I just did a clean install of v1.3.5. Everything seems to be working fine except when you click on the Home button, the following appears "There are no products to list in this category."

Normally, it is my understanding that there should be a welcome to the customer, asking if they would like to Login?

I have tried to define the Main Page in the editor, but the content is not showing. I am not sure if this is a bug, or I am doing something wrong.

I forgot to mention, I noticed this when I installled v1.3.0.2

Also, I did put in all the Bug fixes recommended for 1.3.5

Do you have Products showing when you go to Catalog ... Categories/Products ...

Or do you see just Categories?

Under Catalog, Categories>Products, I only have Categories.

I already have a working website, this is my second. My other site http://www.buckinghamstencils.com works fine, but it was started on an earlier version of Zencart, and has been upgraded with the revisions. When you click the home button on this site, the Welcome, would you like to Login greeting appears. This site also has only Categories under Catalog, Categories>Products, but some of the Categories are linked.

I have clicked every home link you have and nothing breaks ...

All take me to the /stencil directory ... did you fix this?

Hi Ajeh

No, that is my OTHER site. The new site http://www.buckinghamservices.net does not work when you click on the home button. I only gave referrence to my first site to explain that was how I new the home button is not working correctly in v1.3.5

Under the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

What do you have set for:

Categories - Always Show on Main Page
Always Show Categories on Main Page
0= off
1= on
Default category can be set to Top Level or a Specific Top Level

And for:

Main Page - Opens with Category
0= Top Level Categories
Or enter the Category ID#
Note: Sub Categories can also be used Example: 3_10

If the Categories - Always Show on Main Page is set to OFF ... then you have something wrong with your upgrade and have missed a file or three in the Zen Cart v1.3.5 release ... or have a bad or corrupt file ... or a bad template file ...

The Main Page - Opens with Category was set to 3, so I changed that to 0, and now it seems to be working. I never changed any of those settings.

Does that mean I might have a corruption problem????

IF Always Show was OFF then that should not have fixed it ...

Sounds like a template issue ... but glad that worked for you ...

I am using the SophieBlue template. Do you think I need to contact them?
