How do I bulk upload?

I'm really bad at this stuff, so you have to be very simplistic. Go to "a" click "b" type of a thing. I have a bunch of products to upload into the store, I can put them under one catagory for now, no need to confuse the issue! They are in an Excel spreadsheet....what do I do? I've never done any of this. So if you talk about php and SQL and all that I won't understand. Is there a program I can download to make this easier?

There is a contribution called Easy Populate available in the downloads, you will need to install that and then you can upload that excell speadsheet (or a similar one) to get all the products in your store.
