Yes, another upgrade question ... ha ha

This is not an attempt to open another thread to debate zencart software issues, I would like to find a solution to the Zencart installations that I am using.
I am still running 1.2.4, which I know is very old. I have attempted to upgrade several times now and had some strange errors occur each time, for which I have had no resolution. My question is, if I install clean install of new, latest version, is there a way to transfer the user, product, and order info from one to the other. I am not sure if this is any different from the normal upgrade process, but I am trying to find a way to stick with this software, but if I have to completely tear it down and rebuild store from ground zero then I most likely will not.
Is there some way which to do what I am hoping, or someone who can assist in upgrade difficulties ?

Jesse -

As old as your original cart is, I would say this - it can be done and though it takes manipulating it shouldn't destroy any data.

What I personally do for clients running a cart of this nature is I take the cart up using upgrades but I start by upgrading it to 1.2.7d and THEN I upgrade it again to get it to 1.3.5

Now this may not be the way others do it, and it does take a bit of work to do, but doing upgrades this way has turned out (for me) to be easier and results in less errors than simply trying to upgrade a cart pre 1.2.7 to the newest.

As usual, this is simply my opinion, others may feel differently.

I will try that. I will not mention the amount of time already invested in this ... ha ha ... as it is just not funny any longer. Alright, maybe just a little funny.
I had not tried to upgrade in stages like that, but will give it an attempt.
The next question I would have is ... where would I find downloads of those older versions ?

Some are changed files/patch files only. I'm sure you'd want the full file set for
upgrading.
