site stuck on down for maintainance

Well heres a strange one - after upgrading from 1.3.0.2 to 1.3.5, the front page of my store is sticking on the down for maintainance page. I cant shift it from there by using admin - which incedentally seems to be working fine, although its hard to tell when I can't actually see stuff in my store. Any ideas?

Make sure that both your /includes/configure.php and /admin/includes/configure.php are using the same database, username and password ...
