How to back up database?

Hi, is there not a way to backup your database from the Admin? I seem to remember something in the Tools menu but I don't see it now (version 1.3.5).

Any instructions on how to backup your database? Thanks!

I need to back up my database, so downloaded the suggested item. Now, you have to know that this script, html, css stuff is not my strongpoint, so I am not sure I understand the directions.

When I open the zip, i get an admin folder and a read me. It tells me to upload to the sever as is....but here is where i get confused.

Do I upload the entire admin folder to the current admin folder that is already there?

I need some step by step help here, else I am going to screw it up for sure :)

I'm not familiar with this particular mod, but if it's built correctly, the files should be in the correct subfolders, and when you ftp it to the admin folder on your server, they will drop in where they belong.

Heres my confusion...
I open my ftp uploader....open up my zen cart folders
there are several files...the first being admin
I stay there and click to upload...
It says to pick what i want to upload, s
So, i open up the database back up file.....it is also named admin
I click on it to upload it..doesnt work
instead of uploading, it opens up the file and shows three more files
now do i just upload those three files into the general admin section?

Yes, no core files are overwritten using this mod and it is therefore safe to assume you can use it with 1.3.5 as well. Works fine on my 1.3.5 test site.

You must select the Admin directory and copy that to your stores root directory.

That will copy all the files from your LOACAL admin directory to the ADMIN directory of your store. (into the correct sub-directories under ADMIN)

How can I backup the DB for "configuration" in Admin only ?

Can I import the saved the DB to new installaiton, then we don't have to do it manualy ?
