    Default Bypass Gift Certificate Queue

    Hi everyone, is there a way to bypass the gift certificate queue? What I would like to do is allow customers to order a certificate, and automatically send it to the recipient, possibly with the option to allow them to fill out the details from the product info page. I am aware of the potential issues as far as the payment not going through while there is an authorized GC out, but the site that I would like to use it on only allows payment via credit card through a secure gateway, so if the transaction fails, the order won't process anyway. Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    FRAUDULENT CC TRANSACTIONS

    Ok, now that that is out of the way,
    I cant think of any way with ouot redoing the logic in the core code to do this,
    I hope that Chris or Linda will chime in here with a file location but the crystal ball is broke tonight, Sorry I cant point you right at it.

    You could turn off the Gift Certificate Queue ...

    Modules ... Order Totals ... edit the Gift Certificates ...

    Thank you very much, those suggestions are definitely helpful. I remembered that when I went to Modules -> Order Total earlier this evening, I was receiving a non-member function error, but as it is working now, it must have been a server issue. In any event, I'll give it a try.

    I have considered the potential of fraudulent transactions, but the store is a fairly small operation (only a couple of orders per week), and the products are made to order so there is a little bit of time for processing and double-checking. That, coupled with the fact that all of the transactions are processed online, should probably provide enough safeguard (I think, please let me know if there is something I'm missing; It's not my own store, and the client specifically requested that it work this way if at all possible, but I do want to make sure that they aware of any major risks).

    Thanks again, and I'll post back if I come across anything interesting. I'm sure someone else has tried to do this, or would like to, and may find this info helpful. Also, if anyone else has done something similar and has any pointers, I would more than welcome any guidance.
