Reserve Stock Module

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if there is a module out there that i could install that will allow my customers to be able to reserve in stock items?
When I mean by this is lets say i had 20 units of 1 item in stock and a customer would like to reserve 5 units without making an order / payment.

I'm sure there must be a module out there some where and this will also be an idea module to add......

I don't know of any mods that will do that, but you could maybe adapt the cheque/money order payment module (assuming you're not using it) by changing the display text to 'Reserve Items'(or somesuch) in the shop, and the order status the module uses to 'Reserved' in admin.

That would decrement stock (if you have 'subtract stock' turned on in admin) and give you a list of 'Reserved' orders.
