    Default Getting logged out from Admin

    Today, I have gotten a weird problem. Here's how it goes:

    • I log in to the Admin area.
    • I can select different things in the top menu, like "Configuration -> My Store", or "Modules -> Payment". For every link I move the cursor to, I see the zenAdminID in the link in my browser's status bar at the bottom.
    • If I click on anything in the list that shows when I choose something to work with, meaning if I go to "Modules -> Payment" to edit the PayPal module for instance, I have to cklick on the PayPal line in the module list.
    • When I have clicked on the PayPal module line in the payment module list, the zenAdminID is gone from every link, and the next time I cklick on any link in the Admin area I'm redirected to the login page.

    It doesn't matter what I click on to make this problem occur. I can click on the PayPal line in the Modules / Payment list, I can click on Store Owner in Configuration / My Store. Anything in any list I click on will log me out.

    I haven't made any changes to anything anywhere. I have installed new stores in different folders on the server, reinstalled, uninstalled, installed again, nothing helps.

    Anyone having any idea what this might be? I even installed a osCommerce store and I don't get the problem there.

    That's typically a result of a PC configuration issue where session cookies are being blocked, either by browser settings or by personal firewall software. Could also be a corrupt cookie related to a particular domain where you're having the problem.

    I'd suggest:
    - checking all browser security settings and be sure session cookies are not blocked
    - same with any firewall or ad-blocking software
    - flush browser cache and clear cookies

    I did all above, and nothing helped. I checked my software firewall and I have included my domain as a trusted zone, didn't help either. I works on my wife's computer so it's something on my computer that's not correct. I finally closed down my software firewall, and then it worked. I will reinstall it and see if it helps. At least I know what the problem is now.
