navigate using thumb navigation?

Is there a way to customize the u.i. for the users so that when

A thumbnail navigation option is clicked you are directed to the product description with option to purchase while the thumbnail navigation is still visible?

For instance. I am developing this store for my company and I would like to retain a similar look and clothing thumbnail usability.

It seems to me that this would be more efficient and easier to follow for my needs and possibly other storefronts would agree. Essentially the functionality would be very simple and the u.i. streamlined.

Any suggestions and/or questions would be greatly appreciated.

BTW I can whip up a quick jpeg of how it would look if that would help.

This type of function is not native in the script and will require custom coding to create.

You can start with the productlisting template and adjust from there through the admin > config > prodict listing and then what that does not provide will have to be in the files.

I will start with your suggestions and see how far I get.

I would like to customize the UI to meet the functionality I am looking for. Can I ask you about this when the time comes or should I repost to this thread? Have you put any thought into what would be entailed to do this and if so what are your thoughts?

This would really require a php coder...and that I am not...I use hammers & wrenches!!! The commercial help forum here would be a good place if you get stuck as this is not a common nor simple type of edit (I do not think)

i will have a look at the commercial forum. i am not a php coder per se but can figure things out when i need to. hmmmmm, i would love to see if i can do it.

what section is the commercial forum?
