Trouble with "New Products" and "Specials" pages

Hi,
I have successfully put the product listsings for categories and search result listings in nice grid/columns, but for some reason I can't do it for the Products_New and Specials... any idea how to do this?

I want all the listing pages to show in a grid/column format... looking exactly the same. Those two pages are not doing it.

I noticed specials uses: tpl_columnar_display.php
and products_new uses: tpl_modules_products_new_listing.php

Wheras the category product listings and search results uses:
tpl_modules_product_listing.php

Anyone? I still can't figure this out

FYI... I'm using the column layout grid mod... and it works beautifully on all the product listings except for the "Specials", "New Products" and "All Products" listings

I need those 3 listings to appear EXACTLY the same as the other ones that were changed by that mod.
