Permanent Banner or Image on Homepage

Hi,
I have looked around the forums - but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.

I want to have a permanent banner image on my homepage in the left hand column. It should never change and always be there when I return to the homepage.
Similarly, if I go a certain subpage - I would like to be able to do the same thing, ie assign a banner to that page.

Is this possible - can banners be assigned to certain pages? Or am I mistaken here - perhaps I should not be using Banners at all. Is there another way to place an image in the left or right hand columns without them being "Banners".

If the image is not going to change, you could use the Blank Sidebox Contrib from the downloads.

Apologies for the dealy getting back to you.
Thanks for the reply - I have downloaded and had a look at this contribution.
My problem lies in getting a banner to appear only on one page and not ALL pages.
This contrib does indeed add a non-rotating sidebox - but it adds it to every page.

Any other ideas?
