Default No HTML Editor after 1.3.6 upgrade

    Hi,

I just completed upgrading my cart to 1.3.6 and now when adding product info, I have no html editor. It only shows the text box. I do have it as my chosen editor in my store. Is there somewhere else I need to enable it as well?

    Thanks,
    Kelly

Which version did you upgrade "from"? There were significant changes to editor support in v1.3.5, such as a relocation of the files, etc.

    1. what is your setting in Admin->Configuration->My Store for the editor?

    2. in your Admin->Catalog->Categories/Products page, what is showing in the Editor-Selector pulldown? What happens if you change this?

    Hi Dr. Byte,

My selection in the Admin->Configuration->My Store is the HTMLarea.
When I realized it wasn't showing up I selected it again just to be sure.
As far as the drop down on the products page, it is also set for HTMLarea.
All the files are new. I upgraded the database then reinstalled all my mods comparing whatever was in my override folders. So...it may be one of the mods although I don't think any of them replaced the products.php.
I currently have installed the following mods:

    Master Password
    Image Handler 2.0
    Printable Pricelist
    GoogleFroogle
    User Tracking
    Attributes Controller
    Sales Report

I also have no text editor for the define pages.

    Thanks,
    Kelly

Are you running this on a mac perchance?

Alternatively, try adding one of the (much better) plugin editors from the Admin Tools section of the Downloads area. FCKeditor and TinyMCE are somewhat more modern.

    No I'm not.
I was actually in the process of adding the fckeditor when I got the email that you posted.
I was more concerned that I had done something that would cause problems in other areas. But...knock on wood everything seems okay. The upgrade went very well.

    Thanks again,
    Kelly

With the FCKeditor installed, although it works correctly and shows up in the drop down lists in admin>categories/products and define pages editor, it doesn't appear in the options in Configuration>my store, so I'm not able to set it as the default.

    Have I missed something?

    Hi Ryk,

It showed up in mine and I was able to set it as the default.
    Good luck.

Having just installed FCKeditor in ZC v1.3.5, I now notice it shows up automatically when adding/editting a Category or Product.
