    Default USPS Canadian Shipping Problem

    OK, I'm still on zen-cart 1.2. No problems until last night. On step 1 of 3 Canadian customers have no shipping options. Under United States Postal Service the message is "If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the owner".

    USPS tells me nothing has changed and it must be us, or zen-cart.

    We tried various Canadian addresses and none work. All other International and US addresses seem to be working fine and choices appear as usual.

    Not really sure where to go with this. Anybody else experiencing anything like this?

    Has your hosting changed anything? Is the correct zip code in your Database?

    As far as I can tell nothing has changed and zipcode is correct. We have been on a production server for over a year and no problems in all that time. All is currently fine except Canada.

    Should I delete and re-install the shipping module?

    Like maybe closing a port in the server firewall? I'm just guessing, but specific ports are needed for some shipping mods.

    The USPS shipping module uses port 80 via fsockopen().
    If your host has blocked port 80 or has restricted fsockopen() from doing external communication by changing their PHP settings for their fileWrapper permissions, then you will of course have problems.

    Host finally got back. They claim no changes on their end.

    I just uninstalled the USPS shipping option and then re-installed and it did solve the problem. I don't know why but it worked.

    OK i am running into this problem too, uninstall and reinstall did not fix the problem.

    The problem is only with orders shipping to Canada, other countries are fine.

    I am still using 1.2.7 and everthing was working fine up until a few days ago. Nothing was changed on my server.

    Any ideas on why this would be happening only for Canada?
    Using: Zencart 1.3.7 and lovin' every minute of it.
