    Default Editing configure.php after install

    Hi everyone,

I originally set up my shop using the static ip address issued to my set as I was waiting to transfer the domain. The domain has been transferred for some time now and I've got a small issue. The main site is located at www.coloradolegion.org
if you click on the "Merchandise" button at the above address it takes you to the store, but of course the store is located at the ip address. http://64.92.203.33/store/

so that's what you see in the address bar.
Seems a little unprofessional to me. I'd like to fix this.

I wondering if I can change the ip address in the configure.php file to the domain name and have the store located at www.coloradolegion.org/store. I'm afraid that if I do so I may encounter some errors afterward. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

    Thanks a bunch,
    Michael Smith

For your http server, your domain name = your IP address, if your IP address is mapped to your domain name. You should use the domain name.

The path to your catalog and to your admin folder are defined for the server, something like /home/[your account]/public_html/[your store directory] if you are using an Apache web server host. I think that would be the correct way to use your configure file.

Clicking on the link you posted takes you to your store, so I don't think it will cause any problems to use the path to it. You need to find out the absolute path to your store, not the one shown to the browser. What dbrewster posted about your absolute path is what you need to find out. If that's already what's in your config file, then you'll need your host to help you out.
