    Default order not showing

    Has this happened to anyone before? If so, what caused this problem? how to fix it?

    A customer placed an order today, I got the paypal notification email, but never got the order notification email. I checked the orders, it was never issued, it's simply not there. However, the customer tells me that she did go through the cart and after making the payment, paypal didn't take her back to the store.

    What could have happened?

    Ok, I read through all the threads, and still don't know how to fix this problem.
    I have version 1.3.5 installed, no mods, it was working before, just today it stopped workind, what could it be?

    On my site's admin, I see that there are 2 messages on the payment paypal module, I don't remember those being there. I went to paypal.com as it tells me to do it, and under profile/IPN - it's off and there's no notication URL.

    Now my question is, if that was working before, why is not now?

    Check the Customer ... Orders ...

    If you do not see the Order ... enter the Order ID in the search ...

    Does it show?

    If so, go to the Modules ... Order Totals ... and confirm that you have the Totals installed and Enabled ...

    Also confirm that no two Order Total Modules have the same sort order value ...

    Then, upgrade to v1.3.6 as there are a lot of things you want that are fixed in v1.3.6 ...

    The order ID doesn't show even searching. I checked the other settings anyway, they are ok.

    I read on the other thread that people using 1.3.6 were having the same problem. I will upgrade now and see what happens. I am so worried, it's a new store.

    Question, first, where do I find the patch to upgrade? I only found the link to download the full release.

    Second... should I put the store on maintenance for the upgrading?

    There is only the full release for v1.3.6 ...

    You should upgrade a test site with a test database first to make sure all is working right ...

    There are many threads post as well as information in the FAQs and Wiki to help on Upgrades for a /new_shop

    You might try a search on /new_shop to find some of them that detail a safe upgrade ...

    thanks LInda. I was reading about all that in the documentation. It's a lot of work, and I don't think I have any DB left to use (my hosting only provides me with so many).

    If I backup everything, including the DB, and do the upgrade with the shop offline, you think it would be too risky?

    Well .. if you have no alternative ...

    Set the site Down for Maintenance ...

    Backup the database ...

    Backup the site ...

    Still make the /new_shop and copy your Live Site into it ...

    Then load the v1.3.6 ...

    Edit the 2 files:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

    to use the /new_shop directory ...

    Run the /new_shop/zc_install and run the UPGRADE on the database ...

    Test everything ...

    If all is good, then edit the files:
    /includes/configure.php
    /admin/includes/configure.php

    back to the Live Site path
    then rename the Live Site directory such as /catalog to /old_shop

    If you run from the root, then put all the files from the Live Site in /old_shop directory ... you need that for the live site ...

    Now either move all the files from /new_shop to the Live Shop root or if that was a directory such as /catalog rename /new_shop to /catalog or whatever name you use ...

    Remember to move your /images from the /old_shop to your "new" Live Site such as if you renamed /new_shop to /catalog move the /old_shop/images to /catalog/images
