the space and category listing underneath logo

i was wondering what i would need to do to keep the product categories from showing up under my store logo. i only want the categories in the sidebox. also what file would i have to edit to change the color of the small white bar right under the store logo. i thought it would be the stylesheet.css but i can't seem to find it.

in your admin > configuration > layout settings > Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF > set to "0"

if you look at my page www.tgecards.com/catalog there is a white space right under my store banner and i would like to fill in a color there. where on the stylesheet can i find that, or is that something that can be changed at all?

Couple of things and then there may be more???

In your custom stylesheet.css find this code:

#logoWrapper{
	/background-image: url(../images/header_bg.jpg);
	background-repeat: repeat-x;
	background-color: #f89838;
	height:75px;
	}

And this copy is calling the background_bg.jpg image you are seeing in IE and not sized for your header image...Edit to this:

#logoWrapper{
	/* background-image: url(../images/header_bg.jpg); */
	/* background-repeat: repeat-x; */
	background-color: #f89838;
	height:72px;
	}

You also have a padding at the top of your columns that you might want to remove.

so the white space between the bottom of my log and the top of my nav columns are caused by padding? where do i find the code to change the padding size?

well my question is not related exactly to it but somewht similar and hope that you guys will help me
I want to chaneg the color of categories tab and don;t want to turn them off i looked in CSS and did some changes also but couldn;t change color of categories tab menu so any help will be appericeated
