    Default Coupon only to apply to single item

    Is there any way to get the coupon to only apply to one item purchased? In other words, if the customer adds 5 products of the same item to their cart that has a product marked for a 20% discount, is there any way to limit the 20% discount to only one of the items?

    You could put the exact amount the Coupon is only for Product A and good for quantity 1 and Product A sells for $39.00 ...

    Coupon is set to:
    Coupon Amount: 39.00

    Restrictions:
    Top deny
    Product A allow

    Opps ... looked at that wrong ...

    You want 20% on quantity 1 ...

    Well ... there is the minimum but not a maximum at this time ...

    It would need further customization to limit it to quantity 1 when more than 1 is ordered ...

    Have there been any updates to this? I'd like a coupon to be able to be for something like '25% off the highest value item in the cart'

    Maybe not now. But aren't you trying to make it more complicated for your customers?

    Has anyone created this feature yet? It isn't that uncommon to limit a discount to X% off any one item... how long would it take someone who knows what their doing to produce the code for it?

    Just make the Discount Coupon then add the restrictions ...

    Category Top DENY

    I too am also trying to offer a 1 item 1 time discount.

    We hold a "t-shirt" weekend everymonth and offer our customers a 30% discount on ONE item when they shop and I would like to be able to offer it to my online customers (they would post pics of them wearing the t-shirt on FB).

    Any ideas how to do this? It would be ideal for them to be able to add multiple items to their cart and then chose which one to receive the discount on.

    Set the Coupon to
    Category Top DENY
    Product that is valid as ALLOW
