Forgive me if you already understand how the template override system works. However, the beauty of the system is that you copy only those files that you will be changing and leave the rest where they are (no copy necessary). This will allow you to quickly identify your changes to Zen Cart. Plus you will always have the original available. (see FAQ's for more info)
As for your CSS file, are you sure that you are not getting caught with browser cache? Sometimes it will be necessary to clear your browser cache and/or use CTRL-F5 (hard refresh).
You are parsing this stylesheet includes/templates/test/css/stylesheet.css
Is this the one that you are editing?

I took a look at your link. Nice. Some questions.
Where did you go to change the page bakground to black?
Where did you set the sidebox labels and backgounds to be the same color on both the left and the right columns?
I'm going nuts searching for the correct file to use to make things look different.
Can you tell I'm new at this?
Thanks
John
You change all, or at least most, of these things in your custom stylesheet.css. Some may require changes to the stylesheet_css_boxes.css file.
Specifically, the background color in changed right at the top of stylesheet.css, in the body {... background-color: your_color; ... } tag.
When I'm trying to locate a specific item in the stylesheet to change I often find it easiest to look at the page source to discover the class of the html tag (such as <td class="my_class"> ) and then search for that class in stylesheet.css.
Be sure you're using a custom template as described in the FAQs.
