    Default Implementing psd design

I'm having a designer develop a psd design for my zencart shop which i will implement myself.

I'm just wondering how easy or difficult this is to do as i cant find a thread relevant.

Any help would be much appreciated, i'm putting a donation in for zencart after xmas and the associated costs are over, no i love xmas really, but i think we should all contribute at least a little. if only to keep the forum going,

Assuming that you have PS, you can then slice the image into parts that can then be applied to the appropriate sections of Zen Cart, i.e. the header image, the logo image and so forth. Without knowing what the design will look like this is the best start advice I can provide.

..to give you a very rough idea of the type of style etc. im going to be getting - but obviously more unique.

Many thanks is this a particularly complicated process? i.e. will be able to keep the entire design by doing it this way?

    I appreciate the quick reply.

I'll do a search for splitting this but if anyone has a good link please drop a post,

You'll be using PSD to make the page look pretty, however it still has to go into the Zen templating system. The challenging part here is not building the site via PSD. Even slicing and placing the elements properly into your template. You can make the template look like anything (it's fully customizable HTML, after all).

The true challenge is working those slices into the HTML so that they integrate with the dynamic, PHP-driven elements of the page. You'll likely have to reslice, rearrange, even rebuild elements to get a working look you like.

Not sure what 'process' you are referring to but the post made by DrByte, would apply to any Theme / Template used with ZenCart.

Web Designers make a Web site look graphically pleasing.
Web Developers make a Web site safe and functional.

Sometimes, one person or company does not provide both services and both are definitely needed.
