Can't see customer order

Hi Zen Gods,

Well it happend that a customer placed an order and I received payment by notification from paypal.

I checked the Admin to see the order but I can't see any record of the order placed.

Then I looked at the paypal log in zen-cart ADMIN and there's warning in the log about the IPN which says

"IPN WARNING::Transaction email address not matched.

From IPN = [email protected]:
From CONFIG = [email protected]

Fri Dec 2006 14:41 -- IPN FATAL ERROR::Transaction did not validate"


Can't somebody tell what's wrong with the email address.

It appears you're not using v1.3.6.

Since there was a bug fixed in v1.3.6, I would suggest using the newer version of the /ipn_main_handler.php and the /includes/modules/payment/paypal/paypal_functions.php files.

I am using v1.3.5 and I have updated the files you mentioned above with the v1.3.6 so what's the next thing to do. How do I test if it's working fine.

NOTE: I would strongly, strongly recommend going to v1.3.6 ...

In the Payment Modules ... do a Remove, Install and Configure on PayPal ...

Did I mention that I would strongly recommend that you upgrade to v1.3.6?

I am having the same problem but i'm using v1.3.7. I received an email from paypal and the transaction is shown in the PayPal Instant Payment Notifications section of ZenCart (three times actually?) But still not information about what this customer purchased? I have installed as many patches as i can find and still nothing is showing up for this particular transaction, though my test transactions have gone through without problems. How can i find what this person ordered from my site? Thanks heaps!

Did you install the current PayPal Patch for Zen Cart v1.3.7 ...

I'm having the same problem running Zen Cart 1.3.8. My client just notified me that she received payment through PayPal, but there is nothing matching the customer in the ORDERS section.

Hi there dingohart - the SAME EXACT THING just happened to me a couple of hours ago (and I am also up to date). Quite a coincidence that this happened to two different shop keepers in the same day...

Zen gurus - any idea as to what we could look at? I'd hate to jump the gun and go out and ask my customer what they ordered - I'm sure that wouldn't instill confidence in my shop. But at the same time, I'd hate to just do a refund and lose a sale.

Any thoughts GREATLY appreciated!!

Make that three!!!!

The same thing just happened to me! I've had this store up for a few years and have never had this happen before.

Fortunately I can tell by the price what the customer ordered.

But it is still unsettling and I would like to fix it.

The missing order happened at around 10 am today, Eastern time in the U.S.

I just got off the phone with PayPal. No answer. I called my host and they said all was OK. I am suspecting PayPal, but I'm not quite sure hos the software sends and receives email.
