meta tags and title descriptions for EZpages and other pages

I think it's a great job but it has a great limit: it doesn't work with multilanguages ezpages, doesn't it?

Has anybody same trouble?

I downloaded the extension, was reading the instructions. It mentions copying the includes meta-tags.php file to this location: includes/modules/YOUR_CUSTOM_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php (and substituting the template name). I looked, in includes/modules/theme684 (my template) there is no meta_tags.php file. However, there is one at: includes/modules/meta_tags.php and here I've done some other elementary mods.

The question, should I just go ahead and customize includes/modules/meta_tags.php and will this work or does it need to be the $YOUR_CUSTOM_TEMPLATE version which means a new file?

Simply copy the original file to your custom override folder and make your customizations there.

The module "EZ-Pages Meta Tag Fields" does not seem to work in combination with the module "Multi-Language EZ-Pages".
Can you guys combine these fabulous modules?

Can someone please tell me where to change the maximum length for the meta tag description that's automatically generated by Zen Cart?

I dont think zc has support that but you can edit it with zen_trunc_string funtion.

Thanks for your reply. The limit is currently 300 characters so I am assuming that's set somewhere. How would I go about applying the zen_trunc_string function? Thanks!

I just submitted v3.0.0 to the plugins' area for review:
- Updated to use Zen Cart v1.5.4 as the core/template-override change basis.
- Added the meta-tags' on/off icon to the main-page display of your admin's Tools->EZ-Pages
