Product was added to our catalog

I click on a featured product and I still see the shipping weight and the date the product was added. I thought I had turned them off. Where do I go to turn these off?

Catalog>product types>edit layout

I thought it was worth elaborating further because i experienced a case of domestic blindness by searching for keywords in the edit layout panel like "date added to product catalog" (yes or no?). My brain had some kind of dyslexic cross-eyed jump when i finally found it!
