Need some help with my Categories?

Hi everybody,

On a site i am about to begin work on i would like to have about 5 main categories but I would like to have all the categories permanently open to show the subcategories a bit like on this site........

Does anyone know a way of doing this? Also is there a way to use images for the top categories as they have done. Is there any add on modules I should be looking at for this?

You could do that by creating a custom product type for each of your main categories. I would clone the Music product type for each.
