    Default navbar too wide

    Hi,

    I've installed Zen Cart locally, and just have a problem understanding
    which css is in control. The css in the default_template seems to have
    some control instead of the css that came with the template (?)

    I'm using the Custom (aka Aqua Shade) template.

    • Don't understand how to make the navbars even with the right
      edge of the center box (as it is on the left)
    • how to put some space (padding?) above the cart ...~100 px.....so it's
      black all around.
    I thought the css was supposed to control these things, but changing the
    css in the template doesn't effect it.

    Hope that wasn't too dumb a post....couldn't find a similar one by searching.
    Looking forward to getting good enough to help other newbies get started.

    Just need a jump-start.

    Thanks!
    Cal

    Here's the css that came with the template:

    Is that what you needed?
    Thanks,

    Kobra,

    I don't have it remote yet. I've only set it up
    for testing on my machine.

    I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out.
    Just need more time to chew on it.

    Thanks!

    Can't help with the navbar problem without more info or a link, but the top margin is easy.

    In your css file, find
    #mainWrapper {
    and add
    margin-top: 100px;
    inside the brackets.

    There are other ways of accomplishing the same effect. For example, take
    body {
    margin: 0;
    and *add* after that
    margin-top: 100px;
    or border-top: 100px solid black;

    Experiment!

    Glenn,

    you rock!

    I'm sure things will get more clear as I work with it....just trying to find out who's doing what to whom.

    Thanks & Happy New Year!
